I must admit, before class I was very pessimistic about blogs. I knew that it was not something that I would use with my students or families, so I felt that it was a huge waste of time. I did think about using blogs for professional communication. Su mentioned using a blog to talk with other teachers in our district about the new reading curriculum and if people put good ideas/suggestions on the blog I would be interested in reading it.
I think it is also important to remember that "good ideas/suggestions" may include what didn't work. I have had assignments that failed miserably, and sometimes sharing them and reflecting upon them is the best help you can give someone else.

So true and interesting about learning from others - both in what works and what does not work and why.
I find it interesting that you post a question then reply to yourself.
